Title to vol.I in red and black with P. Kaetz's device (trimmed with loss at foot), other titles with woodcut border, woodcut initials, woodcut arms on last page of vol.III & IV. (Vol.II lacks final blank, margins trimmed sometimes affecting headline, marginal notes or signatures, a few marginal tears, some repaired occasionally touching letters, some leaves dampstained and slightly soiled.) 17th-century calf, spines gilt in compartments with brown lettering pieces (one defective). Title printed in red within woodcut border, calendar partly printed in red, woodcut initials, full-page woodcut to prologue of St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans and to Apocalypse, 21 woodcut illustrations to Apocalypse. (Folia v5-8 misbound in final quire e, one or two small wormholes in some leaves, waterstained.) Contemporary blind-blocked calf over wooden boards, spine in compartments (worn), lacks clasps. The Old Testament contains the first Dutch translation of the Pentateuch and the Psalter from Luther's version, the remainder is reprinted from the first edition of the Dutch Bible (Delft: 1477).
