There is some disagreement as to the printer of this volume. GW assigned it to Amerbach at Basel, as did Proctor initially, but BMC, on examining the combination of types, placed it at Freiburg, printed by Kilianus Fischer. Several of Fischer's types are indeed virtually indistinguishable from types used at Basel, and it remains possible that some of the books assigned to him at Freiburg were printed at Basel, where he resided by 1497. Fischer was Freiburg's first printer, and this is the second Bible printed by him there, being a page-by-page reprint of one dated 1491.
