Elaborately jewelled silver-gilt binding with scrolling colored enamel work, amethysts, turquoise and semi-precious stones, 2 jewelled clasps, g.e., circa 1670, possibly Augsburg; in clear and black plastic display case (small losses to enamel work). Provenance: Alfred de Rothschild (label on display case), bequeathed to; The Right Hon. Almina, Countess of Cararvon (label on display case; Christie's sale, London, May 20th, 1925).
