4 parts in one volume, 8o (210 x 135 mm). Steel-engraved portrait frontispiece by J. Basire. (Some spotting or slight browning.) Contemporary calf (rebacked, retaining original spine label, somewhat rubbed).
PRICED WITH BUYERS' NAMES in a contemporary hand. This important collection, particularly strong in early English literature was to be one of the major sources for the great collector Richard Heber who was one of the major buyers. A last sale, including a few items omitted in these four sessions were finally offered on 16 January 1821 (not present).
