According to Alden this camera was a direct development of the original Auto Cine camera of 1928. Introduced in 1929 the 'B' took 30m (100ft) daylight loading spools with a redefined body shape to accommodate the larger spools. The shape was adopted in the H16 was replaced the 'B' in 1935.
