London: Robert Barker and assignes of John Bill, 1630. 2 works in one volume, 8°, double column, titles within woodcut architectural borders, woodcut ornaments, contemporary calf gilt, covers with central lozenge built up with small foliate and floral tools (rebacked preserving fragments of old spine, rubbed).
Third edition of the Welsh bible, first published in 1588. The probable first owner of this copy was Sir Thomas Myddleton (1550-1631) who purchased the estate of Chirk Castle in 1595, and sponsored publication of this popular edition with Rowland Heylyn. STC 16439; STC 2349 (Bible) & 2746 (Psalms).
