Breguet. A fine and small 18K gold and enamel openface keyless cylinder watch
Signed Breguet, no. 686, manufactured in 1852 and sold to Monsieur le Général Comte P. de Diakoff on 16 August 1852
With gilt-finished jewelled cylinder movement, plain three arm brass balance, wolf's tooth winding, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, gold moon-style hands, in small and slim circular case with coin-edged bezel, the snap on back with translucent blue enamel on guilloché background of undulated design, the inside similarly enamelled, finely engraved scroll and foliage decorated band, case numbered B 686, 156 and stamped with illegible casemaker's mark
