The present watch participated at the 18 December 1937 and 8 February 1938 Besançon Observatory Pocket Chronometer Contests where it obtained a First Class Rating Certificate and Gold Medal with a total of 153 points.
Its movement is stamped with the "Viper's Head", the symbol used by the Besançon Observatory to mark movements which had successfully passed the chronometer tests.
