With gilt-finished cylinder movement, pierced and engraved decorative cock, plain three arm balance, quarter repeating on two gongs, gilt cuvette, the vari-coloured gilt dial with two cherubs above, seated on a wall, realistically striking bells in time with the quarter repeating mechanism, below with a scene of two men working and sharpening their knives and tools, the man on the left bending and raising his body while the sharpening stone is spinning, the gentleman on his right is also bending up and down, his right arm moving and the wheel of which he is operating is rotating, in engine-turned case, signed on cuvette and numbered, case stamped and numbered
