Bruno, a Vichy smoking monkey automaton
with papier-mâché head, curly white mohair wig, yellow glass eyes, articulated lips and eyelids, metal hands holding a lorgnette and bone cigarette-holder, the going-barrel movement and bellows in the body causing him to lift the cigarette holder and lower his head, then turn his head and raise the lorgnettes while blinking and opening his mouth to exhale the smoke, in the original white linen dress shirt, later figured waistcoat, black felt breeches, tailcoat and tricorn hat -- 25in. (64cm.) high, (sympathetic restoration to face), with Vichy key.
