FIRST EDITIONS IN THREE STATES OF BUNTING'S SECOND BOOK. Poems: 1950 was originally published by Dallam Flynn (or Simpson), a fervent proponent of Ezra Pound; Guedalla comments that 'it is said that [Flynn] compiled the book at Pound's instigation'. The sheets of the first issue were then acquired by Kasper & Horton, who re-issued the work with new wrappers bearing their imprint; there appear to be two states of this issue which are not distinguished by Guedalla--one without and one with the copyright notice on the verso of the title, and the variations in the text on the lower wrapper noted above.
