(Some leaves with upper or lower margins skilfully strengthened, fore-margins occasionally just shaved with loss of one or two characters of side-notes, head-lines just trimmed on about a third of the pages.) 19th-century blue morocco gilt, gilt edges, by W. The sixth edition of Bunyan's sequel to The Pilgim's Progress, in which Christian's wife and children, accompanied by Mercy, journey to the Celestial Country to join him. The first edition was published by Nathaniel Ponder in 1684 (see lot ??), and went through two editions in Bunyan's lifetime. (For the spurious "1683 edition", see lot 70).
