Gwynn, a lawyer and book collector (d. ca. 1650), is best known today as the original owner of a volume of nine Shakespeare Pavier Quartos of 1619 in a contemporary binding, now in the Folger library. Cf. De Ricci, English Collectors of Books p.28; also W.A. Jackson's article 'Edward Gwynn' in his Records of a Bibliographer (1967) pp. 115-119 and plate 5 illustrating a binding almost identical to this. FIRST EDITION. STC 4531
