    Lot Essay

    Carl Jutz was born at Windschlag and was known for painting still lives and poultry. He studied at Munich and Dusseldorf, and gained medals at Vienna in 1873, Sydney in 1879, and Melbourne in 1881. His work is found in museums in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Koenigsberg, Leipzig and Mulhouse.
