One of 300 copies on handmade paper. Cavalieri was one of the outstanding Italian book collectors of his time, with a library rich in early Italian illustrated books, catalogued by De Marinis, his favorite bookseller. His catalogue became a model for Italian bibliographies of this kind; it was his first independent publication.
