Lot Essay

Chang Reesouk was born in Pyungyang and graduated from Tamagawa Imperial Art School in 1939. His work was shown in the "Sun" exhibitions in Seoul during the years 1941 to 1943. He won the President Award at the "7th National" exhibition in 1958. His work was exhibited in the "Asia Contemporary Art" exhibition in 1973 and in the "Contemporary Western-style Painting" exhibition in Seoul in 1977.
