Lot Essay

Charles Wysocki was born in Detroit in 1928. After studying art at the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles, he returned to Detroit to work as a commercial artist. Wysocki soon left commercial art and returned to Los Angeles, where he has worked as a freelance artist since.
