A SHORT NOTE ON HER DEPARTURE FOR INDIA: 'It stirs me much - yr going back to those Indian scenes where my eyes were first light [sic] by the radiance of Miss Pamela Plowden. Remember what I said to you yesterday & always count on me'.
Pamela and Victor were departing for his period in office as Governor of Bengal, 1922 to 1927.
