2 volumes, 8° (223 x 137mm). Half-titles, photogravure portrait frontispieces, 2 colour-printed and 14 photogravure and other technique plates, one double-page, one folding. (Scattered spotting and occasional light marking.) Original maroon cloth, upper boards titled in gilt and gilt-blocked with Marlborough arms, spines lettered and ruled in gilt (spines slightly faded, paint-spotting to vol. II boards). Provenance: Hugh Cecil, Baron Quickswood (1869-1956, presentation inscription on vol. I front free endpaper 'Linky , from , Winston S.C , 1 Jan 1906').
