CIGOGNE, Armand-Bernard (1790-1859) -- Catalogue des livres, manuscrits et imprimés, composant la bibliothèque de M. Armand Cigogne...précédé d'une notice bibliographique par M. Leroux de Lincy. Paris: L. Potier, 1861.
8o (239 x 159 mm). Title in red and black. Contemporary half green morocco, t.e.g., others uncut, original printed wrappers in black and red bound in (some light rubbing). Provenance: Andres Roure (red morocco bookplate).
Sale catalogue of Cigogne's library, and one of few copies printed on handmade paper. The sale never took place as the collection was acquired beforehand by the Duc d'Aumale for his library at Chantilly. The catalogue appears to have been printed but never published until after the library was bought by Aumale for 375,000 frs. It was then issued with a half-title, title and preface by Adrien-Jean-Victor Le Roux de Lincy, librarian at the Bibliothèque de l'Arsenal. Blogie II, col.96.
