    Lot Essay

    The original full-size painting is in the Royal Collection.

    The sitter was the daughter of John Trevor of Brynkinalt; she married Sir Thomas Myddelton, 1st. Bt. (1624-1663) as his second wife and they had one son, Thomas (1663-1696).
