CLARK GABLE LUGGAGE
Elegant luggage from the personal property of Clark Gable including a set of matching brown crocodile leather suitcases from I. Magnin & Co. with both having brass letters reading CG affixed to the top and one having a vintage Los Angeles Union (Railroad) cap check tag still attached to the handle; together with a similar suitcase but made by Samsonite.
These pieces were originally sold in the June 2, 1994 Christie's (East) auction titled "Entertainment Memorabilia;" Sale 7565, Lot 182, Page 61 of that catalogue; final price realized was $2,300.
