Mexico: Juan Ruiz, 1632.
8o (139 x 93 mm). Woodcuts on title and A3v. Title stained red. (Last leaf foremargin with tape repair, closely trimmed with loss of some catchwords, signatures and letters along foredges.) Contemporary limp vellum (some staining).
FIRST EDITION, RARE. According to Francisco Gonzalez de Cossio's 510 Adiciones de la Bibliografia de Medina, another, similar title, appeared the same year by Ruiz, under the title Epithome grammaticae: "...This book has never been seen, we know of its existence because it was included in a list for the Inquisition of Mexico, on November 16, 1660, by the bookseller, Doña Paula" (item 156). Juan Ruyz was a notable early printer in New Spain. Not in Medina, Palau.
