Unsigned, so-called Adam & Eve watch, mid 19th Century
With frosted gilt chain fusee cylinder movement, the white enamel dial with eccentric Arabic numerals, subsidiary dials for movement regulation and date, the balance visible below pierced and engraved cock, in silver case, glazed to the back, centred by a painted enamel plaque depicting Adam and Eve around which the serpent rotates, with engraved foliate border and gilt decoration to the outer rims of bezel and back, with short length of chain with a silver gilt seal
