PRICED in a contemporary hand. Coste was one of the most notable book collectors of his time; his guiding passion concerned the history and typographical products of his city and the Lyonnais of which he formed a vast collection of 19,000 items; a catalogue of it appeared two years after his death, and a major portion was acquired, also in 1853, by the City of Lyon.
