Sale catalogue of the library of Abbé Courbon du Ternay, the confessor of Mme Louise-Marie de France, the daughter of Louis XV. Cardinal de Bernis described the Abbé as "homme terrible" on account of his scandalous behavior. Books found in the collection dating from 1778-1783 support the 1787 year of the sale as given by DBF and Guigard. Not in Blogie, Pollard & Ehrman, or North.
