CROMWELL, Oliver (1599-1658). Document signed ('O. Cromwell'), a warrant to Sir John Wollaston, ordering him to pay Major General Lambert for 82 days service, n.p., 5 November 1651, including Lambert's receipt signed at the foot, one page, folio (traces of guard, strengthened on verso at outer edge).
John Lambert had taken part in the battle of Worcester, and was later appointed Major-General for the North.
