Moretus, 1605. 4° (210 x 154mm), engraved title and 12 full-page illustrations by Theodore Galle, engraved device on divisional title of 'Occasio, drama', woodcut device on last page (lacks final blank, wormhole in lower blank margins of first 3 leaves, very light browning and spotting). 19th-century red half roan (a little rubbed). Provenance: Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). FIRST EDITION. An Italian translation appeared in the following year. Praz p.313; Landwehr 54.
