Introduced in 1899 and last listed in 1909 this design built on the simple hand camera that Adams had made from 1891. The No. 3 Pattern offered triple extension and a Zeiss lens. Adams were not restrained in promoting the range: 'The Adams De Luxe Camera occupies a position absolutely unique in the sense that the Quality, as well as its General Design, is infinitely superior to every Camera in the World. It appeals to all those wishing the highest possible class of Instrument and it is the best that money can buy.'
Adams explained that prior to the introduction of the De Luxe 'cameras arranged for the use of Lenses of different foci were cumbersome and full of complicated and unnecessary movements.'
