2o (440 x 327 mm). 50 mounted color plates of wallpaper and fabric patterns. Loose as issued in cloth-backed portfolio, linen ties, decorative paper label on front cover (some soiling). Provenance: George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum (bookplate, stamps on verso of each plate).
A collection of colorful examples of scenic patterns and designs, which were very popular in the 19th century and were originally manufactured in Jouy-en-Josas, a town in north central France.
