DECORATIVE WOODEN CONSOLE FROM "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS"
A rectangular-shaped console with a removeable top seen in the sequence when Sethi, as portrayed by Sir Cedric Hardwick, is getting dressed by his servants while he's talking to Pharaoh Rameses, as portrayed by Yul Brynner. The piece is evident in the left side of the hallway at a perpendicular angle. Made of wood, there are beautiful colored inlay designs on all side and top surfaces in the shapes of human figures, eagles and plants. The console is now in fragile condition due to age; the inlay artwork is chipped, pieces are missing and the wood is slightly brittle, but overall its quality design is still obvious.
