PRICED in a contemporary hand. A copy of the special issue on papier d'Hollande; on its title-page the name of the owner of the collection is printed, whereas on that of the ordinary edition, and in Potier's preface, he remains anonymous as M. D***. The collection, which realized 106,400 frs, was formed by purchases from the Cailhava, Double, Le Bedoyère, Solar and other important sales, and was particularly strong in early editions of the French poets, romances of chivalry, Books of Hours, and illuminated manuscripts.
