A BRIEF MESSAGE, WITH A LOGICAL PROBLEM. The postcard comprises simply news of Dodgson's departure ('Off to Rochester -- Back on Monday night') and the instruction to solve a problem of symbolic logic involving three symbolised premisses using the terms x, m and y, from which a conclusion is to be found.
