Together 2 works in one, 8vo, 157 x 106 mm., contemporary calf; first title soiled with a few stains, lacking the 16 leaves of appendix to both the second and third works, some worming (affecting some numbers in register), some margins shaved (affecting some running headlines and pagination in second and third work), some marginal soiling and pale dampstaining. FIRST EDITIONS of the first three botanical works of Dodoens. Hunt 67 and 68; Nissen BBI 506, 507, and 508.
Provenance: Extensive annotations in an early hand correlating the plant names with those of Bock (some shaved) -- Edward Sanford Burgess, bookplate and a tipped-in note before title which reads: "...Of B. Quaritch, Lon., Oct., 1902; who had it from the library of Rev. J. Kirkman of Hampstead" -- Kenneth K. Mackenzie; Horticultural Society of New York, bookplate.
