DONI, Antonio Francesco. La Libraria ... nella quale sono scritti tutti gl'autori vulgari con cento discorsi sopra quelli. Tutte le traduttioni fatte dall'altre lingue..., Venice: Gabriel Giolito de Ferrari et fratelli, 1550. 12, woodcut devices on title and verso of final leaf of text, historiated initials (lightly stained towards the end), 18th-century Italian vellum.
Second edition, printed in the same year as the first. This the first ever national catalogue of published works in the vernacular. The main difference to the first edition is that all references to Lodovico Domenichi have been surpressed, presumably following the two men's bitter quarrel after which Doni denounced Domenichi to the Inquisition. Adams D817; BM STC Italian, p. 225; Bongi I, pp. 297-98; Brunet II, 814.
