FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, without lettering on cover street sign and with "Violent" for "Violet" on p.317. De Waal 520; Green & Gibson A10; Sadleir 739.
PRESENTATION COPY, the title page inscribed "with Arthur's love. Nov 8th/92." The book was a gift to the vendor from a godchild of Arthur Conan Doyle.
