PRICED in a contemporary hand. One of Martin's best and most frequently cited auction catalogues, and one of the 22 provided with an index. The collector Du Fay was advised by his friend Michel Brochard, professor at the Collège Mazarin and the author of the notice in Latin following the preface in this catalogue. A very interesting copy with notes in a contemporary hand regarding the prices realized, and occasional remarks on valuations, rarity and importance of the lots.
