FIRST EDITION AND AN IMPORTANT PRESENTATION COPY of 'the principal firsthand account of the Ross Sea shore party of Shackleton's 1914-17 expedition' (Rosove). The inscription, in blue ink on the space beneath the picture on the frontispiece, reads 'To Doc Pleasant memories of Antarctic together. Yours Radiantly Ernest E. Mills Joyce'.
