Eventail a Necessaire, a novelty fan fitted with needlework tools, a mirror, a compartment for powder, in four concealled panels in the guardsticks, with a thimble concealled in the tassle suspended from the handle, the leaf of black satin, the sticks of ebony, one guardstick stamped patent - 11in. (28cm.), possibly English from a French design of 1855, circa 1870 (lacks needle, and two other fittings)
