"Family Library" [title on lettering pieces], London: John Murray & Thomas Tegg, 1829-40. 23 volumes, 8° (147 x 90mm). Engraved plates and wood-engraved illustrations. Contemporary dark purple morocco, spines gilt with red morocco lettering-pieces, coronet stamped in gilt in top compartments, armillary sphere in bottom compartments (extremities lightly rubbed).
With Walter Scott's Waverley Novels (Edinburgh, 1842-47, 12 vols.). Sold as a collection of bindings, not subject to return.
