The petition (arzdasht) is from Mirza Muhammad 'Ali Qajar to Fath 'Ali Shah when he was commander-in-chief of the Qajar army. Mirza Muhammad 'Ali was ordered to carry out a general massacre, but the intervention of religious leaders and the Sayyids prevented this. In the petition he asks the King to be compassionate and forgiving.
