2 volumes, 8o (192 x 119 mm). Contemporary calf gilt, spines with two red morocco lettering pieces (light wear to spine ends). Provenance: Fermier Général Lenormand du Coudray (1712-1789, the great print collector with his praraph at the beginning of vol. I and on the last page); Dufour (earlier signature on last page); Léon Darez (signature on front free endpaper, dated 1874).
PRICED in contemporary hand (except for the withdrawn? erotica lots 4,702-15). This 7,984 lot catalogue describes the largest 18th-century collection of Italian books formed outside of Italy and is the only 18th-century French sale catalogue, to be printed in a foreign language.
