FOUR CYPRIOT WHEELMADE WHITE PAINTED WARE VESSELS
CYPRO-GEOMETRIC, 1050-750 B.C.
Comprising a barrel flask with single handle, the rounded body with short neck and collared flaring rim, each side with concentric lines around a band of cross-hatched triangles encircling the central tondo, zigzag around the collared rim, repaired, 8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) high; an amphora with ovoid body and twin vertical handles, the neck with collared rim, the shoulder with pairs of triangles containing cross-hatched lozenges, encircling bands below, wavy lines on the neck, repaired, 13 3/8 in. (34 cm.) high; and two smaller jars with vertical handles, the short wide necks with everted narrow rims, multiple zigzag around the shoulder and cross-hatched lozenges and quartered squares on the neck above, on conical ring feet, 5 in. (12.6 cm.) high max. (4)
