8° (208 x 133mm). Half-title. Portrait frontispiece, skilfully hand-coloured at a later date. 12 plates, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with 12 plates, 4 with later hand-colouring. (Some light spotting.) A Cosway-style binding in later brown morocco gilt by Bayntun (Riviere), upper cover with inset original oval portrait miniature of Mary Wollstonecraft after John Opie, the miniature surrounded with gilt-tooled border, within an outer border of gilt-tooled decoration of arabesque cornerpieces of volutes, dots and circles, linked by double fillets, the lower cover with similar gilt decorated outer border, the spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and fourth, the others with repeat overall decoration of various arabesque volutes and other small tools, gilt turn-ins, watered-silk endleaves, gilt edges. EDITION LIMITED TO 700 COPIES.
