Grit Kallin-Fischer (née Vries) studied at the Bauhaus from 1926-28 under Moholy-Nagy, Klee, Kandinsky, Albers and Schlemmer. From 1928 until she moved to New York in 1934 she worked as a photographer in Berlin.
