GUIGARD, Joannis. Nouvel Armorial du Bibliophile. Paris: Rondeau, 1890.
2 volumes, Large 8o (263 x 174 mm). Illustrated. Green half morocco, marbled sides, top edges gilt, by C. Lanoë, original wrappers bound in (light fading to spines, some rubbing to edges). Provenance: Andrea Bocca (bookplate).
A copy on ordinary paper of the second edition, but unique, as it has inserted in the relevant places more than a hundred expertly produced rubbings of armorial stamps in their original size and condition (most of Guigard's reproductions are uniformly reduced and often simplified) with indications of the titles of the books from whose bindings they were taken, and of the materials and colors; they belonged to a collector active from before 1914 to the early 1920s.
