Wood-engraved title vignette and 76 engraved portraits (light stain in lower forecorner towards the front, a few light spots and stains). Attractively-bound in contemporary panelled calf gilt (rebacked, extremities lightly rubbed, some surface wear to upper cover). Provenance: Charles C. Handford (ex-libris sticker).
