HEINEMANN, Ernst -- Collection à vendre de monumens typographiques et autres ouvrages rares, imprimés aux XVe et XVIe siècles. Offenbach: Ernest Heinemann Libraire, 1840.
8o (221 x 138 mm). (A few leaves becoming loose.) Later wrappers.
Heinemann, bookseller in Offenbach, here offers en bloc a collection of early printed books, including some four hundred incunabula, among them the block book of the Ars Chiromantia; items 411-1,454 are books printed between 1501 and 1550; an appendix (Nos. 1,455-1,530) lists books printed between 1551 and 1600, other appendices seventeenth- and eighteen-century books, duplicates, bibliographies etc. Evidently, Heinemann was unaware of the existence of Hain's Repertorium Bibliographicum, 1826-1838. The fate of the collection appears to be unrecorded. [Laid in:] A printed leaf to prospective buyers dated 1 June 1840.
