Exhibited at the Salon of 1824, the marble of Henri IV enfant was commissioned by the Minister of the Interior after the plaster was exhibited at the Salon of 1822. Bosio's most popular work, the model was edited in bronze and marble as well as in a solid silver version formerly in the collection of the King and now at the Louvre. Cf. P.
