Title in red and black with woodcut device, 4 woodcut plates with captions in French (all plates torn, 2 frayed at the outer margin with very slight loss, some waterstaining, light browning and spotting, some 19th-century marginalia and notes on verso of last leaf). Contemporary vellum with clasps (head of spine worn, soiled). Provenance: contemporary deleted signature with Greek motto on an endpaper -- Chivaliere (near contemporary signature on title) -- Rawson, Trinity Coll. Oxon. (19th-century signature on an endpaper).
